چکیده

The objective of this paper is to disseminate the ideas underlying the HUMACS project and to provide its current status focusing on value-added perspectives experienced to date through promotion of an international research project. The paper highlights efforts in securing consistency in the development of an international project. An easy-to-understand project goal image is defined for being shared by all the partners involved in the project; i.e., to develop an environment for supporting ‘human-factor centered manufacturing enterprises’. Outlines of two subprojects being developed in Japan and Europe are demonstrated referring also to interregional collaboration taking place between these two subprojects.
